NBA: Charlotte 107, LA Clippers 100
The Charlotte Bobcats, led by Gerald Wallace's 23 points, kept the Los Angeles Clippers at bay from start to finish Monday and left Los Angeles with a 107-100 win.
Charlotte jumped out to a 29-22 first-quarter lead, led by 10 at the half and then used a 14-2 run in the third for a 73-53 margin the Clippers couldn't overcome.
Besides Wallace, who also had six rebounds and eight assists, the Bobcats got 20 points from Jason Richardson.
Los Angeles, playing without Chris Kaman and Corey Maggette, were led by Tim Thomas' season-high 29 points and 13 rebounds. But the Los Angeles Clippers went 0-for-8 from three-point range while Charlotte shot 56.7 percent from the field to record its first-ever win over the Clippers in Los Angeles.
