SEATTLE Rashard Lewis scored 31 points, including a big basket in the closing seconds of Seattle's 77-to-75 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Lewis hit a running layup to give the SuperSonics a 77-to-73 lead with 24-point-eight seconds left, 28 seconds after draining two free throws. He went 10-for-19 from the field and 9-for-10 from the line as the Sonics ended the Los Angeles Clippers' three-game winning streak.
Luke Ridnour and Chris Wilcox each added 12 points to the victory.
Elton Brand had a chance to force overtime, but his 16-footer hit off the back rim at the buzzer. Elton Brand had 22 points and eight rebounds for the Los Angeles Clippers, who fell back into a tie with New Orleans in the battle for the final Western Conference playoff berth.
