Brand may have to cut back workouts
Elton Brand's sluggish start to the season is raising many questions, one of which, is his strong work ethic and rigid daily routine doing more harm than good?
Elton Brand played all summer in the world championships, so there is a concern that all the working out and weight lifting he does after practice is taking it's toll on the big man, who's averaging just 15 points and eight boards thus far. "I told him that we know he's got great work ethic," coach Mike Dunleavy said.
"Nobody is going to question his toughness or anything about him based on what he's done. He just needs to understand that the most valuable thing he could do for us is give us himself as close to 100% on the floor at all times. That's the main thing." Brand knows his fantasy owners are bummed out right now, so hopefully there are a couple huge lines over the horizon now that his daily routine is even being questioned.
